This is our honest House of Magic Movie Review
When the kids and I went to see House Of Magic, there were not many kids movies on, so our choices were limited. We couldn’t agree on which movie to see. It was either Box Trolls, which one of my kids had already seen, or it was this and I had to make an executive decision as there were groans and grumbles and there was no group agreement. So, I went in positive, thinking it would be a good choice. So, this is my House Of Magic movie review.
Unfortunately, this movie was a huge let down. My youngest child, who was 7 at the time enjoyed it the most out of all of us but even so, he said it wasn’t the best movie he had seen.
The movie started out well as it was fast paced based on the initial event of a kitten being dumped and his attempt to stay safe. It quickly went down hill from there. I found the sinister character the most enjoyable out of all the characters. Otherwise, the characters were weak and lacked enough substance to make you like them. The toys that came to life were enjoyable but even so, still bland.
The story had potential but it didn’t really take you an a great journey; more a mediocre one. There wasn’t much of a theme like the other movies such as paper planes or big hero 6, where there was an anti-bully message or a positive message about being a geek.
I don’t really have much more to say about this movie except, don’t bother going to see it. Get it out on DVD if you want to see it. It’s light, at times has some funny moments but on the whole, a couch sitting is better than the big screen.
What do you think? Did you see it already and agree or is my House Of Magic movie review too harsh?
